This once small builder-grade kitchen had been outgrown by the owners growing family. The clients dreamt of a light-filled and airy kitchen where they could have a welcoming place to gather and to entertain.  

 

To meet their needs a new kitchen addition was built, doubling the kitchens square footage. Windows frame a view of the backyard and bring in lots of natural light.  A large contrasting island anchor the room while warm wood beams emphasize the vaulted ceiling and a custom designed range hood steals add character to the space.
