This once basic outdoor deck was large, but lacked definition and was underutilized.  The clients envisioned an outdoor living room where they could entertain friends and family throughout the year rain or shine.

 

Interpreting the clients vision, we designed an open and light filled covered porch, flanked with two large skylights and a custom motorized retractable screen system.  The wood plank ceiling anchors the dining area equipped with an outdoor kitchen and TV for game day get togethers.  At the touch of a button concealed bug screens can retract down to keep the mosquitos away or a clear vinyl screen can be lowered to keep rain out and the party alive.  A new modern cable railing and privacy wall were added to define the lounge area complete with a cozy gas firepit on the other side of the deck.
